In 1928, to combat the natural phenomenon of soil erosion, agronomist Ferdinand Larose took on the task of planting conifers on abandoned land. Today, the Larose Forest boasts more than 18 million trees on a surface of 11,000 hectares. It’s a natural haven for recreational cyclists, skiers, hikers and vehicles alike.
